Article Processing Charges (APCs), Waiver and Discounts Policy
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to ensure transparency in publication costs and equitable access to publishing opportunities for authors. Nitee Publication recognises that researchers may face financial constraints and therefore provides a clear framework for Article Processing Charges (APCs), waivers, and discounts.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
- The authors are required to pay Rs. 5000/- (Indian authors) or USD 100 (foreign authors) as APCs upon acceptance of the manuscript.
- APCs are applicable only to accepted articles.
- APCs are paid after completion of peer review and acceptance; they do not influence editorial or peer review decisions in any way.
- APCs cover the costs of peer review, editorial management, online hosting, indexing, and long-term preservation.
Waiver and Discount Categories
- Group A
Authors from low-income countries are eligible for a full APC waiver. - Group B
Authors without sufficient funding may apply for a 40% reduction in APCs. Applicants must provide supporting documentation (such as a signed letter from their institutional Head). Decisions are based on the authenticity of the evidence provided. Nitee Publication reserves the right to approve or reject any waiver application. - Group C
Editors and reviewers who have handled at least five manuscripts in a calendar year are eligible to apply for a 50% discount on APCs.
Application Process
- Waiver or discount requests must be made at the point of submission.
- Requests made during the review process or after acceptance will not be considered.
- Authors should send their waiver or discount requests to the respective Journal Editor-in-Chief for consideration.
