Digital Preservation Policy
Purpose
This policy explains how Nitee Publication ensures the long-term accessibility and preservation of scholarly content published on theJournals platform.
Current Preservation Measures
- All published articles are stored in PDF format on secure servers.
- Currently, all published content is deposited onto the Internet Archive to ensure permanent accessibility and global preservation.
- Regular backups are maintained to prevent data loss.
- Metadata (title, authors, keywords, abstract) is preserved within the journal platform to ensure discoverability.
- Authors are encouraged to self-archive their accepted manuscripts in personal, institutional, or subject repositories.
- Supplementary materials (if any) are preserved in their submitted formats, provided they are widely accessible.
Author Rights and Responsibilities
- Authors may retain copies of their work for teaching, research, and non-commercial distribution, provided proper citation to the published version is maintained.
- Authors are encouraged to deposit their work in institutional repositories or personal websites to enhance visibility and preservation.
- Authors should submit supplementary files in common, non-proprietary formats (e.g., CSV, MP4, TXT) to aid long-term accessibility.
Future Commitments
- Nitee Publication is actively working toward integration with global preservation platforms, and XML/HTML formats for enhanced preservation and indexing.
- Once implemented, all content will be archived with recognized preservation services to ensure permanent accessibility.
- The publisher will update this policy as new preservation technologies and partnerships are adopted.
Policy Review
This policy will be revised periodically to reflect improvements in preservation infrastructure and compliance with international best practices.
